Band-Aids are highly useful for your wounds to heal properly. While they help people in terms of healing, there has been one aspect that has been a very popular pet peeve: removing Band-Aids. This process is so painful that people tend to put off removing them for fear of the after-effects. The popular quote ‘rip the Band-Aid off’ immortalizes this sentiment.
The Hack
A Tik-Toker has come forward with a painless tip for removing the bandages. As a part of his segment series “Here’s something I didn’t know until I was in my 30s,” he demonstrated that the simple trick of pulling it up instead of peeling it off makes it practically painless. Showing this move in his latest reel, he claims he didn’t even feel that happen. Naturally, his reel has taken the internet up by storm. The comments left under his reel clearly include “What is this sorcery” and “My son thanks you for this.” Even skeptics who didn’t really believe the trick tried it and confirmed that it was less painful
Skeptics
Still, as usual, there are those having issues with various aspects of the trick. Some of them claim that the demonstration didn’t give enough time for the Band-Aid to stick to the skin as he put it on and, after a short period of time, took it off. Others claim that the demonstration misses out on the actual effect that this trick has when the Band-Aid has been on for two days. This is aptly felt through the rather unpleasant comment that bandaids also include residuals of body fluids and can get a little messy. They claim that, in that case, the trick might not work that effectively or at all. Another opinion put forth by the public is that body hair would also affect the actual result of this trick: more hair, more pain.
