Ariana Grande is one of the most well-known pop stars of our time and has been in the public eye since she was a teenager. So, naturally, she has been experimenting with any and all makeup trends that have surfaced over the years. In a recent TikTok video, the singer was seen going through some of her past makeup looks for her beauty line, R E M Beauty. She is seen talking to her old self as some heavy eyeliner is being applied.
The TikTok Video
In the video, the pop star is seen lip-syncing to a dialogue in which the old self begins by saying that she’s doing her homework and wants to talk about something! This old video is then interrupted by the singer’s current 29-year-old version saying, “Do you think your eyes are a little too smokey for every day?” The old self replies, “Yeah, I’m going through a phase.” “Is that OK with you?” The current version of the singer replies, “Sure,” because she knows that she will be growing out of it real soon. This video had the caption, “Me to old me, who wouldn’t dare be seen without a thick cat eye and an over drawn lip.”
A Message for the Fans
In addition to the video, the “7 Rings” singer also said that there are ways one can compliment each other, and if it’s not a compliment you want to give and instead you see something you don’t like, we can always choose to ignore it. We should help each work towards that collectively, making us safer from the outside world and from each other as well. She added that you never know what someone is going through, finishing with, “So even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system they are working on it with.”
