1. Bright Eyeshadows
Sarah Tanno, who’s worked for A-listers like Gaga herself, says you don’t have to limit yourself to just one bold and colorful feature this winter. You can do a monochromatic look from lash to brow like Lady Gaga often does, and add a strong lipstick or a nude matte finish to spice up the look.
2. The Evergreen Makeup Trend: The Cat Eye
Daniel Chinchilla has been prepping Ariana Grande for most of her iconic red carpet cat eyes, and he says they will definitely make a comeback this season. To get the perfect shape, you need to start from the end of the eye and point the liner toward the top of the ear. Then, glide it inward in small precise movements to avoid mistakes. Generally, the more you press down, the thicker a line you’ll get if you’re using a pen liner, so be mindful of the thickness you want to achieve beforehand.
3. Pronounced, Fluffy Brows
Patrick Ta, the celebrity makeup artist of Bella and Gigi Hadid, Shay Mitchell, and many famous Victoria’s Secret models, is well known for his signature full, fluffy brow style. He and Chinchilla both agree this trend will dominate this winter. Since brows define the face, you can use yours to make a statement, especially now that face masks aren’t going anywhere. They recommend using a product that volumizes and tints the brows without over-glossing them.
4. The Lived-In Liner
Tanno calls this trend the “lived-in liner,” which is a smoked-out, smudged look that you can easily do with a malleable eyeliner pencil. You can go for a more dramatic shape or a subtle smudge in nude and light brown tones. Use a soft pencil and a smudging brush to define the shape.
5. Get Graphic
If you’re wondering why your Instagram feed has been going wild with graphic eyeliner looks recently, it’s no accident. Those will be huge this season. The best thing about it?
